Future Strides is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing horses to the lives of people who would not have the opportunity to benefit from this unique form of recreation.
PROGRAMS:
4H Horsemanship Club
A free program that for youth ages 5-21 that involves learning about horses and horse care. We meet Thursdays at 7:00pm
Registration September 16th at 7:00pm at Clovelly Stables.
$10 4H Newfoundland membership fee required
Equine Developed Interacting Tools (EDIT)
Interacting with the horse on the ground provides surprisingly powerful moments of self-discovery. With specially designed activities, you can begin to see clearly how you are relating to yourself and others. Specifically designed programs available for youth and adults. Individual and Group sessions available.
Stable Life Skills Development Program
Working with animals teaches many valuable skills that can be transferred over into everyday life. The program pairs clients with a horse to care for giving them the opportunity to develop a special relationship with it as well as acquire valuable traits such as responsibility, encourage nuturing and hard work. This program is available for youth and adult groups or individuals.
